Ordering

What is the minimum order?

Our minimum order is just 100 pieces — enough for a small team or a first market table, with bulk tiers as quantities grow.

How fast will my order arrive?

Standard production and delivery takes 2 weeks (faster turnaround available with express shipping). Your free mockup arrives within 24 hours.

Is there a maximum order size?

No. Runs of several thousand pieces are routine for member giveaways, congregation-wide gifts and multi-branch programs. The free mockup, the unlimited revisions and the approval step work exactly the same whether you order 100 ornaments or twelve thousand.

Can I mix materials or designs in one order?

Yes. One order can combine ceramic, wood, acrylic, metal, shatterproof and photo ornaments, or run several designs across a single material. The whole quantity still counts toward the same bulk tier, and each design is packed and labeled separately so you can tell them apart on arrival.

Can I reorder next year and match this year’s batch?

Yes. We keep your approved artwork, color build, shape and finish on file, so next December’s run matches the ornaments already hanging on people’s trees — usually with nothing changed but the year on the back.

Can we sell the ornaments as a fundraiser or stock them in our shop?

Yes, and a lot of our buyers do. Churches run them at Advent bazaars, schools sell student-artwork designs at the winter fair, and gift shops carry town, trail and landmark designs on the shelf all season. There is no licensing or resale paperwork to file with us and you decide entirely how the pieces are sold. We also print unbranded blanks for makers who personalize and resell under their own name.

Materials & Options

Which material should I choose — ceramic, wood, acrylic, metal or shatterproof?

Ceramic is the gift-shop classic: gloss white, full color sublimated into the glaze, both faces printed. Wood is Baltic birch with the artwork laser-burned into the grain, and it reads handmade even at five hundred pieces. Acrylic is bright and modern, and stays see-through wherever you want tree lights to pass. Metal is brushed brass, copper tone or steel, etched and enamel-filled, with real weight for donors and milestones. Shatterproof ball ornaments are the traditional bauble shape with artwork wrapped a full 360 degrees. Tell us the audience and how the ornament will be handed over, and we will point you at the right one.

What is the difference between printing and laser engraving?

Printing adds artwork to the surface: dye sublimation fuses it into a ceramic glaze or an aluminum coating, and UV printing bonds it onto acrylic. Engraving removes surface instead. A laser burns fine dark linework into birch, and chemical etching cuts recessed detail into metal that can then be flooded with enamel. Print when the artwork has photographs, gradients or several brand colors. Engrave when you want a single-tone, tactile, heirloom look with nothing on top that could ever chip or peel.

Can you print or engrave both sides?

Yes, on every material we run. Ceramic and aluminum print both faces in the same pass, acrylic can be printed on the front and engraved on the reverse, birch takes a second engraving pass, and metal carries a stamped or etched back. Most buyers put the design on the front and a year, a recipient name or a short message on the back.

What sizes are the ornaments, and how much does one weigh?

Flat ornaments run roughly 3 to 4 inches across: ceramic at 4 mm thick, birch at 3 mm, acrylic at 3 mm with 5 mm available, and metal at 1.2 mm. Shatterproof shells are 80 mm as standard, with 60 mm and 100 mm options. Everything in the range is light enough to hang from a real branch and light enough to post — a single flat ornament with its cord and sleeve is a matter of ounces, which is why client mailings stay simple.

What hanging hardware comes on each ornament?

Every piece ships ready to hang. Ceramic and aluminum come with satin ribbon or gold cord already knotted through the hole, birch with jute twine or red satin ribbon, acrylic with a fitted cord, metal on a chain or ribbon, and shatterproof shells capped in silver, gold or matte black with the cord fitted. Tell us the color you want and we match it to the design rather than defaulting to red.

Can each ornament be individually gift boxed?

Yes. The standard pack is a tissue sleeve or polybag per piece, bulk packed by design into cartons, which is what most shops and bazaar tables want. Upgrades include a kraft or white gift box with a printed insert card, a clear clamshell for shatterproof shells, and a rigid box for etched metal keepsakes. If you are mailing to a client list, we can pack one ornament per outer mailer so the carton goes straight into the post without repacking.

Design & Artwork

Is design help really free?

Yes — our designers redraw logos, set family names and dates, retouch photos and build every mockup free, with unlimited free revisions until you approve.

Do I see the design before you print?

Always. Nothing is printed or engraved until you approve the free digital mockup showing the exact shape, size, finish and both faces.

What file formats do you accept?

Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) are ideal for logos and engraving, and high-resolution JPGs or PNGs work for photos — we clean them up free.

What photos work best for photo ornaments?

Bright, sharp shots where the subject fills the frame. A phone photo taken outdoors in daylight usually prints beautifully; a dark indoor shot cropped out of a group picture usually does not. Send the original file rather than one saved from a social feed, since those are compressed heavily. A designer crops every image to the ornament shape, lifts the exposure and cleans up a distracting background free of charge, and we tell you honestly when a file is too small to hold up at 3 inches.

Can every ornament carry a different name or photo?

Yes — names, years and photos can vary piece by piece within one order, and each ornament ships corded, sleeved and ready to give.

How do I send a list of names for personalized pieces?

A spreadsheet is all we need: one row per ornament with the name, year or message exactly as it should appear, plus the matching image filename if photos vary. We proof the whole list back to you as a layout sheet so spellings get caught before anything is cut, and every piece is labeled during packing so a hundred personalized ornaments arrive sorted rather than shuffled.

Production, Packing & Shipping

Do you ship nationwide and can you rush a December order?

We ship across the US, and express production plus expedited shipping covers holiday cutoffs — tell us the date the ornaments must be in hand and we plan backwards from it.

When should I place a holiday order?

Earlier than feels necessary. Standard production and delivery takes 2 weeks (faster turnaround available with express shipping), but artwork approval is what really sets the calendar: committee sign-off, collecting photos from families and last-minute wording changes routinely take longer than production does. The queue fills through autumn, so booking ahead of the season keeps every finish, shape and packing option open to you. Give us the in-hand date and we work backwards from it instead of guessing.

Can you split one order across multiple addresses?

Yes. Distributed teams, multi-branch programs and congregation mailing lists are routine. Send the distribution list with your order and we pack, label and ship per address or per location, and tracking comes back for each shipment so you are not chasing a single pallet around the country in December.

Are there setup, tooling or die charges?

No. Custom outlines are cut on the laser and etching artwork is prepared per job, so starting a brand new shape costs nothing extra, and every revision before production is free. Anything that genuinely changes the quote — a second engraving pass, individual gift boxing, split shipping — is spelled out on the quote before you approve it, never added afterwards.

Care & Guarantee

What if something is wrong with my order?

Every order is backed by our quality guarantee — if a piece doesn’t match your approved proof we make it right, fast, and revisions before printing are always free.

Will the ornaments survive storage year after year?

That is the entire point of the range. Sublimated ceramic and aluminum hold their color because the image sits inside the surface rather than on it, engraved birch and etched metal have nothing on top to peel, and acrylic and shatterproof shells will not crack if a storage box gets stacked badly. Keep them somewhere dry rather than a damp basement, wipe a dusty piece with a soft cloth, and an ornament dated this year still looks right at its tenth hanging.

How do I clean an ornament that has been in the attic?

A soft dry cloth handles almost everything. Ceramic, acrylic, aluminum and shatterproof shells can take a barely damp cloth and a wipe dry. Birch prefers to stay dry, so dust it rather than wash it. Etched metal can be buffed lightly with a dry cloth, and a little dulling of a brushed finish over the years is normal and is what makes an old piece look like an heirloom rather than a new one.

Buying Questions People Ask

How much do custom ornaments cost in bulk?

The cost per ornament depends on the material, the size, the decoration (print, engraving or etching), any extras such as a gift box or a second-side message, and above all the quantity, because setup is spread across more pieces as the order grows. Get Custom Ornaments does not publish a price list since the same ornament quotes differently by artwork and finish. Send your design and quantity through the quote form to get a firm quote and a free mockup within 24 hours. Request a quote and free mockup.

Where can I order custom Christmas ornaments in bulk?

Get Custom Ornaments (getcustomornaments.com) makes custom ornaments in bulk from a minimum of 100 pieces: printed ceramic, engraved wood, acrylic, metal, shatterproof ball and photo ornaments. Every order includes free artwork help, a free mockup within 24 hours and standard production and delivery of about 2 weeks. See every ornament style.

When should I order custom ornaments for the holidays?

Order in October if you can. Standard turnaround at Get Custom Ornaments is about 2 weeks after you approve the free mockup, and artwork approval is usually the slowest step, so a December delivery is worked backward from the date you need them in hand, with shipping added. Ordering early also keeps every material and finish available before the December rush fills the production schedule. Start your order now.

What is the most durable custom ornament for shipping and storage?

Metal, acrylic and shatterproof ball ornaments are the durable choices. Etched metal does not fade, warp or absorb moisture, acrylic will not shatter if it falls onto a hardwood floor, and the shatterproof ball is a seamless plastic shell with no glass anywhere in the build. Ceramic color is sublimated into the glaze so it does not fade in storage, but a kiln-fired ceramic piece still needs a tissue sleeve or box in transit. See shatterproof ball ornaments.

What is the best custom ornament for a corporate holiday gift?

Etched metal is the usual choice when the gift has to feel like a thank-you rather than swag, because it has real weight in the hand and can be stamped with a year or serial on the back. For a team spread across many addresses, the shatterproof ball is the easiest to mail, and a printed ceramic ornament is a strong all-round choice for client gifts that need to survive the holiday inbox. See metal ornaments.

Should I choose ceramic or wood for custom ornaments?

Choose printed ceramic when you want full-color artwork, a glossy keepsake look and printing on both faces. Choose engraved wood when your design is line art, script or a monogram and you want a natural, handmade look. The free mockup shows the same artwork on both so you can judge before approving. Read the full ceramic vs. wood comparison.

What is the best way to put a family photo on a custom ornament?

A photo ornament is the best fit. The image is dye-sublimated onto a 1.1 mm gloss white aluminum panel, which holds skin tones and dark shots well, and a designer crops and retouches each photo for free before the mockup. Every piece in an order can carry a different image, so one order can cover a whole client list or a family. See photo ornaments.

Can I get a different name or photo on every ornament in one order?

Yes. Get Custom Ornaments can personalize each piece with a different name, year or photo within a single order. Send a list of names or a folder of photos with your quantity and the free mockup will show how the personalization sits on the ornament before anything is made. See how ordering works.

What logo or artwork file do I need for custom ornaments?

Vector art such as AI, EPS or PDF is ideal, but a flat JPG, a photo of an old pin or even a sketch is enough to start. The Get Custom Ornaments design team rebuilds the artwork for the chosen material, for example engraving-ready line art for wood or a curved template for a ball, at no charge. Send your artwork for a free mockup.

Are custom shatterproof ornaments safe for kids and busy venues?

Yes. The shatterproof ball is a seamless, hollow plastic shell that is effectively unbreakable, so it can be handed out at a tree lighting or mailed to remote staff without glass in the build. Acrylic ornaments are the other no-shatter choice and are popular where floors are concrete or tile. See acrylic ornaments.

Can I order a small batch of custom ornaments for a team or family event?

Yes. The minimum order at Get Custom Ornaments is 100 ornaments on every style, which is enough for a staff tree, a wedding party, a family reunion or a first bazaar table. The same styles scale to orders of several thousand pieces. Request a quote.

Which custom ornament looks most like glass without breaking?

Two styles get closest. The shatterproof ball is available in gloss, matte, frosted, glitter or metallic finishes and looks like a proper glass ornament from across the room. Clear or frosted cast acrylic has polished edges and reads like glass at a fraction of the weight, with open areas where the tree lights show through. Compare the shatterproof and acrylic styles.
